## 1. Download and install the latest version of SimHub

You can download the latest version of SimHub from this link:

[Download SimHub software](https://www.simhubdash.com/download-2/)

Run the SimHub installer.

## 2. Buy SimHub licences

To use the SimHub Motion add-on, you need to purchase two licences:
- [Buy a SimHub base licence](https://www.simhubdash.com/get-a-license/)
- [Buy a Motion add-on licence](https://www.simhubdash.com/simhub-motion-addon-licence/)

## 3. Start SimHub

Launch SimHub on your computer to begin the setup process.

## 4. Activate Motion Plugin

Once SimHub is running, enable the Motion add-on:

1.) Click on "Add/remove features"

2.) Click the enable button for the Motion add-on.

## 5. Activate Licenses

Make sure you have purchased both licences and saved the licence files sent to you by SimHub by email.

1.) Open “Settings → General”.

2.) Click “Add License”.

3.) Select a licence file on your computer. Only one file can be selected at a time.

4.) Open the selected file.

5.) Repeat these steps for the other licence.

## 6. Configure Motion Settings

Follow these steps to set up the Motion System.

1.) Click “Motion”.

2.) Click “Configure your motion platform”.

## 7. Import Platform Configuration

Download the preconfigured geometry settings from REACTOR.

  [Download Motion geometry configuration](https://drive.usercontent.google.com/uc?id=17ezbKqJeWUcT3Pcp5FeBgq7Ngq3i4XJ2&export=download)

1.) Click “Import geometry settings from file”.

2.) Select the downloaded “*.shmotiongeometry” file in the file picker.

3.) Open the file.

## 8. Import Controller Configuration

**Before importing:** this download is for **REACTOR Motion**. Use the controller file from this guide, not a file downloaded for the other product.

Download the preconfigured output controller settings from REACTOR.

  [Download Motion controller configuration](https://drive.usercontent.google.com/uc?id=1_T9hDINILkZQKN8d_Y_zCMfQ9JdcpR56&export=download)

1.) Click “Import controller(s) from file”.

2.) Select the downloaded “*.shmotioncontroller” file in the file picker.

3.) Open the file.

## 9. Configure your Motion System

For the best results, configure the distances between the actuators to match your rig.

1.) Enter the actuator spacing along the length and width of the rig, as shown in SimHub.

2.) Open “Controllers” and select the COM port used by the control unit connected via USB. It is usually shown as “CH340”.

## 10. Verify axis assignments

SimHub asks you to check that all axes are assigned correctly. **Correct axis assignment is essential.**

1.) Click “Axis assignment”.

2.) Check that the preconfigured axis roles match the actuators connected to the control box.

- 1. Front left Actuator
- 2. Rear left Actuator
- 3. Rear right Actuator
- 4. Front right Actuator
- 5/6: Reserved for REACTOR Tension

![SimHub platform-axis verification screenshot for REACTOR Motion](https://sim-reactor.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/verifyPlatformAxis-1024x555.png)

3.) Confirm the axis assignment.

*“Test all platform axis” is not recommended when the actuators are already mounted on the rig.*

## 11. Optional: Import motion profiles

Preconfigured REACTOR game profiles are not yet available for download. If you already have a compatible motion profile, you can import it as described below.

Add downloaded motion profiles as follows:

1.) Click “Profiles manager” in the “Motion” menu.

2.) Click “Import profile”.

3.) You can select several downloaded profiles at once in the file picker.

4.) Click “Open” in the file picker.

## 12. Test the platform

If everything is set up correctly, you can test the platform.

1.) Click “Enable Motion” in the “Motion” menu.

2.) Click “Manual Control”.

3.) Slowly increase the sliders for the main axes. **DO NOT**use the “Corners” sliders while the actuators are mounted on the rig. Check that the rig can move freely while you test all main axes (roll, pitch and heave).

## 13. Start Game

Your system is now ready for your favourite games. Some games require additional steps to enable motion output. Follow the instructions in SimHub.
